Way back when I got my M17x, sli worked fine. That was when I had dpc latency issues. Over the months I have gone through many different drivers. In this time sli has worked with some games, not with others, works with some and has dpc again, ect...all mixed results. Right now im using WHQL 197.45 and I cant seem to get sli to improve my fps on any games. I mean, it makes the fps higher, but then it gets random drops. In crysis everytime I turn it drops down to like 5 fps. Sli doesn't help at all.

I have gone through many many drivers, (mostly terrible ones if you've read my other topic about nvidia drivers..) so im sure it has to do with this one. Nothings wrong with my sli configuration im sure..I've tried nhancer. Doesn't seem to help.

Its a combination of the cards and the chipset. I have stuttering and a little latency on my 9800GTX SLI (though nowhere near as pronounced as those graphs in the R1 lounge) which the 260/280 are based on, apparently its worse with the 280's.

Combined with a bad nvidia chipset I don't think you will be resolving the problem, maybe ever. I think its more then drivers, a combination of hardware and driver defects. Maybe seek a refund/exchange at this point with an arguement to Alienware of hardware defects?
