    What is Vista Rating for 8400M G

    When I got my laptop, the rating was 3.1 (Aero Glass). Since it was the lowest, this was my overall system rating.
    However, yesterday, when I installed a new Hitachi Travelstar 7200 rpm (200GB), reinstalled vista, loaded the drivers, (Video Driver from Laptoptogo), the Aero Glass rating went up to 3.4. Now my FIFA 06 runs smooth.

    Is this because of the driver or is 3.4 the regular rating for this Graphics card.

    Notebookcheck.com has a table with all the graphics cards on there with scores for comparison. Not to be confused with the 8400M GS though.

    remember , Acer uses a lot slower HDDs than that now in your laptop.

    so the score should be improved by replacing the slow Acer original HDD with other faster ones.

    Yes you can make your aero score up to 4 using different drivers, but sometimes my aero score is wrong(tried it again using same drivers beloew and it has gone back down to 3.7 but nothing really changed)

    Notebookcheck is one of the least reliable sites for Graphics comparisons. Don't even bother. We can't compare because one computer could have crap specs and another could be a powerhouse. So it is totally pointless.

    Which Drivers did you use?
    Is it just the Windows Rating or did you feel any increase in performance.
