    Programs you can use:

    -Notebook Hardware Control. Great program if you ask me, you can switch power options in a second, great interface, you can read CPU and HD temps.
    -Mobmeter. Also a great program, works with everything. Interface is handy, but nothing special.
    -Speedfan. You can see temps and regulate fan speed.
    -Ik9fui or something. Made specially for Inspiron 9000 series. You can adjust fan speeds, read temps etc.

    I prefer Notebook Hardware Control myself, a downside is that it uses a lot of your memory. Mobmeter uses very little of your memory.
