    Hello,

What is the best controller to play games like DMC4 and Grid? Would I be able to just plug in USB to PS2 converter and just hook up my PS2 controller and play it?

    Thanks

you could, but the controls are all screwed up(as in: they are not the same for nfs on the comp & ps2).

the best controller IMO would be a wheel with some pedals and a gearshift (all electronic of course). though i'm not really familiar with these things, they'd be awesome if you could get em to work. such as the ones in arcades :).

PS2 converters are cheap and do work well. You could also look at Saitek's lineup and see what suits you or pickup a cheap racing wheel set off of ebay to add to the realism. There's no real best pc controller, just what meets your needs.

You could just get a 360 controller which these games were designed for.

IMO the Logitech Rumblepad 2 controller is the best. It's shaped to look like a PS2 controller, the button layout and the rumble feels just like a your using a Playstation 2 controller. Target and Circuit City sells them for $34.99

I've had mine for over 2 years and not one issue has come up. They are very sturdy. Just stay away from the Logitech Gamepad which looks very similar to the Rumblepad 2 but without rumble. They don't last worth a lick. I went thru 3 of those in a year.

Another solid controller is the wired Xbox 360 controller.

If you want a controller fast the best one to get is 360. Its probably the most supported controller i would assume since thats what Microsoft wants to you use when you play games. But i would highly recommend waiting on the Steam Controller if you can wait.

Yes, this is the best controller. I have used a few as I work in an electronics store. What you get for your money is GREAT VALUE. Very sturdy....good grip, no setup. Just like ps2 controller and WIRELESS!

I suggest the 360 controller as well... you can get one used at EB/Gamestop for like $25 and its great. and if you ever get an xbox 360, it'll be an additional controller for you.

It utilizes rumble/vibration in games and each PC game is mapped out the way it is for the 360 version automatically for the controls.

Very solid, cheap, and supported by microsoft :)

i have the logitech cordless rumblepad 2. Had it for about 2 years now *got it before the 360 wireless adapter was available, and wireless was a requirement for me*
Personally, the logitech controllers, although well made, do feel a little light. It matters mostly on opinion. If you like the design of a ps2 controller, stick with a ps2 adapter *a good one that supports rumble* or logitech. If you want the latest controller with easy support, get a 360 controller or wait till the steam controller. Your best bet is to go down to Best Buy or Circuit City and handle some of the controllers and see which one feels the best to you.

The Logitech Dual Action Gamepad™ has worked really well for me, I got it for about $23 dollars, the quality is good, it has the Playstation 2 controller's shape, and it is responsive, but the analog sticks are enclosed in square-shaped compartments (unlike the Playstation's which are enclosed in circle-shaped compartments), overall, it's a good gamepad, it has 12 buttons (2 are under the analog sticks), somewhat oldy, but reliable.

the logitech controller with analog sticks and rumble, either wireless or wired.

or the xbox 360 wireless controller.

the steam controller might be good, but there is really no telling, as its not out yet.
