Buy yourself a copy of Guild Wars. After you pay for the game itself, there are no other fees whatsoever. Very fun, very addictive game I highly recommend it!

There are alot of beta RPGS out and those are often fun for a while...

But I tend not to like free RPG's and go for paid ones, because the free ones tend to be full of 12 year olds who like to PWN t0 t3h m/-\X1/\/\u/\/\!!

In other words, pretty immature kids...

There are good people, but they tend to be quite rare..

Nah, those immature kids exist on all online games. I really hate videogame forums, its crawling with those freaks. I love these notebook forums as most people here are adults and very mature and nice.

www.notebookforums.com is a lot worse than here. I second rahulnirmal's statement, these forums are really nice. There's a reason I stuck around after buying my notebook. :)

People here tend to be very friendly and helpful. I just wish more consumers knew about this place.

Yes, this place (NBR) is much better than that place (NBF). Going to NBF is like going to game's forum. You can complain about the fact that shots with a weapon are proven to come out the barrel of your gun at a 32 degree angle away from where it's pointing and the fanboys will report and whine until the topic is gone, even if it's fact. The only single exception to this rule that I have ever seen is BeyondUnreal.

As for the free RPG I've heard a lot about something called Second Life. I looked at it, it didn't interest me, but it might interest you.

    It's called "Thang Online".

Accounts are free and the game is free. It has full, and quite sexy, 3d graphics. Complete with all of your RPG needs, but a little lacking on the universe size and explorability. Best one I've found yet... and trust me, I've conducted many searches for free RPGs.

    1. Guild Wars/Neverwinter Nights (But does have initial cost)
    2. A bunch of those korean beta rpgs (but are international as well) like Maple Story, ROSE Online, Knight Online, Gunz International (Firstperson shooter/RPG), Rakion (I believe the open beta may have be closed), Ray Crash Online, Tibia, Survival Project (recommended, unfortunately for you though the English International beta is finished but if you know other languages.. korean.. french.. etc. You could play it still), KalOnline.

-Seriously, you have a huge variety if you knew Korean :/ But here's a list, I can't gurantee if they have "International Versions (English)" though.
