Kind of curious to know since the chart that Dreamer made does not list the 8600M GS or GT on it.
Here's the chart:

So... where does the 8600 GS or GT fall into that chart? Also, does it matter where these videocards fit in as far as finding a business equivalent of them if they have 512MB or 256MB? How about the GDDR3 memory?

try this that should help

8600GT is Quadro FX 570M I believe

The Quadro FX 570m is the 8600M-GT. That is the only 8600M based quadro to the best of my knowledge.

The 570m 256mb is a ddr3 model so it is better than say a dell inspiron that only has a ddr2 model. There are also two variations of the 570m the 128 mb is in the 14 inch model and the 256 is in the 15 inch model. Test results of the 128 mb model seem to be on par with dells 8600m gt ddr2 while the 256 mb model is on par with the asus G1s or macbook pro 8600m gt ddr3.

also add Quadro NVS 320M
edit:
just checked out notebookcheck and it seems that it is 8700GT based....
What is the equivalent of a 8600M GS or GT in a business videocard?
