Guild wars 2, though I'm not really sure how I feel about some of the changes they are making. (max level 80 for example). Also portal 2 and diablo 3 like everyone else said haha.

* Half Life 2 Episode 3 would easily top the list if only I could be sure that it will actually be released next year and not in 2020 or something like that.

 

Having seen today the Augmented Edition of Deus Ex (and the fact it is only $10 more than regular edition) I am adding it to my list of must haves.

 

Diablo 3, which has been talked about for the past3-4 years, and I wouldnt be too shocked if they dont release it in 2011...

There was news about a plausible leak in the Blizzard schedule for 2011, Diablo is slated for Q4 2011 based on the info. However this is not confirmed (as always) but the likelihood of a 2011 release is high.

Starcraft 2 was released incomplete. The game was split into 3 parts I believe. And the 2nd part hasn't been started yet.

My guess, developing the Zerg part for SC2 could delay Diablo III even further.

I agree, I mean they have been delaying diablo 3 for so long that I wouldnt be too shocked if blizzard releases a couple of expansions for sc2 before releasing diablo3...

The D3 development team and Starcraft II team are utterly independent of each-other, in terms of funds and staff. Their own development in no way hinder anyone else. Blizzard has stated that repeatedly lol.

Diablo 3's been developed steadily for the past few years, its core contents are ~80% done now (I follow the D3 news closely almost every day), although post-content development are still at 0% but it'll be fast, and after that is beta. From how it looks it'd definitely release no earlier than Q4 2011, and no later than Q3 2012.

I personally look forward to Torchlight 2. I think it's interesting that D3 has almost NONE of the team that made D1 and D2, and definitely NONE of the senior developers. All of the senior members, including even the musical director are working on Torchlight 2. I look forward to see what they come up with. Plus they are not tied to Activision, an added bonus. Torchlight 2 is supposed to have an MMO component to it this time around.

That's not true. Blizzard moves around teams for different projects all the time. You seriously think the SC2 team was just SC2?

We've all been reading the press releases from Blizzard. And the only thing I take from it, Blizzard does not dedicate a team on just one game all the time. That is clear and D3 is no exception. A game like Diablo 3 doesn't take 10 years to make... There is a clear reason why D3 development is taking forever. It's obvious they stopped for a while to concentrate on WoW, which is their money maker and then to finish up SC2.

Blizzard even said SC2 did not take 12 years to make. It actually only took a few years. It's just they keep concentrating the dev team on other projects. Why would D3 be any different?

 

Maybe when you talk about SP games, MP was a completely fail.

well, that is a long time from now, if u consider the time they have been talking about d3 now, hoping to have the game released at the beginning of 2012 is a joke.... I hope the game is worth the wait because its been forever already...
