Ul be able to play all but the latest big games that require very powerful graphics cards. Starship troopers a is a good example of one of these and you would only be able to play this on medium to low settings.

Almost anything your heart desires. But on many of the newer things dont expect to hike the graphics up beyond medium.

I dont understand how the x1300 and Go7300 are classed as budget GPUs but then everyone says you can play any game including the new ones at meduim settings?

Surely if they were are bad as everyone made out they should only play fairly recent games at medium and not be able to play new games e.g. Doom 3 at all?

I play BG2 on my celeron with integrated graphics on max settings and there is no hold up! Not the most demanding game out there, lol

Well a lot of gamers expect to play games at 1024x768 high details at the very minimum to describe a graphics card as worthwhile. If it can't do that then it is dismissed as rubbish. All depends on your viewpoint really. To me I care more about gameplay than graphics, I'd rather be immersed in the storyline of the game than worry about pretty effects everywhere.

The main reason that I have to have a high end card in my laptop is so that it won't be completley useless in a year.

They're low-end cards because they are on the lower end of what the manufacturer produces. Doesn't matter what they can do in the latest games.

Check the system requirements for the games you want to play. If you meet them, you can play.

I just want my T60 that's coming (June) to play strategy games, World of Warcraft..along that line.

I keep buying fps's but.. i think they're losing their appeal. Nice stories... but getting old just whacking people over and over.

Now Halo is a different story... I love that game... "He's here.. get him!"

that's funny because it doesn't matter card you get; it will be useless in a year.
