Last week,my video card fried, which was one of the original 4850s with that crappy heatsink, lasted a year and a half anyway.

So I put my backup card in my system, which is a fanless 3450. I have been able to play most of my games on it at lowest settings and 800x600,with a little lag here and there.

Tho I need to save up money for a new video card,I also am looking to buy a 13 inch laptop, and was wondering about what video card would offer similar performance I can base my real world testing from. I think I could live with the 3450 like performance. I want to play games on a 13 inch, but I am not worried about how pretty they look. When pwning other people online, its their GFX settings that matter more ;)

My CPU in my desktop is a Q9550 @ 3.4 ghz,so my system is definitely GPU limited.

Well ATI mobile GPUs are actually very similar to their desktop counterparts with the main difference being lower clocks so a mobile HD3470 would be close to your desktop HD3450.

However, nowadays, 13" laptops come with HD4570s which should give you even better performance.
