For TF2 I'd say any card with equivalent power to the 8700GT will likely succeed, COD4 maxed out will require one of the high-end cards equivalent to the 8800m GTS at least.

I play TF2 maxed 1680x1050 res no AA and its runs flawlessly. Im not sure how many FPS I am getting because I never cared to look..

CoD4 I could run nicely medium settings medium res.

The 9600M GT is a beast of a card.. :)

I play TF2 maxed out minus AA at 1680x1050 on an 8600m GT with 256mb GDDR3. CoD4 I play maxed, but at a lower resolution.

i run TF2 maxed with no issues, TF2 isnt that intensive. COD4 would probably require a 8600m GT DDR3 to a 8800m GTS if you wanna run it max res., which for me is 1680x1050
