If you liked the platforming bits of Batman and Screed, you might enjoy the Prince of Persia games. The first had the best story and atmosphere, the second and third had progressively better fighting but progressively hokier stories.

Wolverine Origins plays a lot like prototype. Theres actually a lot of games similar to the hacknslash type.

    Ninja Blade
    X-Blade
Prince of Persia 2/3 is more of the hacknslash
Star Wars Force Unleashed Sith Edition

Prince of Persia also comes to my mind but when I tried those I never got the hang of them, while I'm a god in Assassins creed ^^
Could you tell us for what platform you need games? ps3, pc, xbox, wii??, nintendo ds...

Ninja Blade has some insane cutscenes and quick time events. You'll kill enemies with wrecking balls, motorcycles (twice!), and by surfing on heatseeking missiles. I think the developers were trying to one-up Devil May Cry cutscenes.

You can try the PC versions of some Dynasty Warriors games, but those are, literally, pure, dumb fun. Some people find the fighting repetitive, and even I, a fan of the franchise, agree.

I'll definitely recommend Ninja Blade. The various Price of Persia games, too, but you said you don't like them.

I agree with forge here, the dynasty warriors series are pure fun, eventhough its repetetive. Assassins creed 1 and The Godfather were also very repetitive, which doesn't mean they aren't fun.

I will definitely check out Ninja blade, it looks really cool.
As for dynasty warriors, isnt that game quite old?

Also to answer a previous question, I can only play games on my laptop so yeah PC games are what I'm looking for.

There are many dynsasty warior games, 1, 2, 3 , 4 , 5 , and also a 6th one I think. Oh and some (if not all) versions also have some kind of extra game, called dynasties or something like that, so there are a lot of them ^^ Even the newest have bad graphics, but I only played the ps2 versions...

    Tomb Raider: Anniversary or Underworld
    Splinter Cell series...

Not as much action in the above as Batman, Assassins Creed, Prototype or Prince of Persia...more puzzle solving...

Demon Stone is older and not quite as polished as the two titles you mentioned...definitely doesn't have the open world feel of Assassins Creed...but it's got some good action sequences and light puzzle solving set in the D&D world...
