    What temperature is acceptable ?

    Hi ! i'm just checking on my temperature seems to go from 60-69 fluctuating... and wondering where should I worry, and if its ok to overclock some with rivatuner and some cpu overclocking too maybe ?
    any advice ?

    I got a sager 9xxx something model with a quadcore 2.4 and a gforce 8800m
    if that can help anyone to answer..

    What temp are you talking about? CPU/GPU/HDD?

    Well it is best not to let your CPU get too high over 80C and you don't really want your GPU to get hotter than 70C if you can help it (you can go higher than these temps but it is always better to be on the safe side). You don't want your hard drive to get very hot. I would say over 65C for a hard drive is pretty warm.

    I dunno if the above is a typo, but GPUs are completely safe up untill 90C. The actuall chip could probably handle temps up to 110, but u don't want to be in that zone where u actually risking something, so I'd say 90 or below and your good.

    What program are you using to monitor the temps to begin with?

    Id suggest HWmonitor if you currently dont have it..

    For gpu a safe range would be 50-80ish. I dont suggest you OC if your temps are already high

    depends on your card and laptop cooling tbh but as already mentioned 80+ is borderline and 90+ is bad!
