Seriously, it will consume your life; much like what that man in your avatar is doing to that burger.

Depends, if you want a game to last you a long time, I would go with battlefield 2142, that's my shooter game of choice, crysis is pretty good and then bioshock. Bioshock is a great game, but replay ability is pretty low.

Might as well taint yourself with World of Warcraft if you are looking for an addiction. I'd much prefer TF2, but to each his own.

Why would you recommend a game that is neither on the PC, nor ever reported to be coming to the PC?

You could also try out Mass Effect if you want an actual plot vs. most fps games.

Assassins Creed? That was a very dissapointing title to play! Poor AI and oh so reptative missions!

Gears I agree with, it seems it can play pretty nicely on a decent machine, and it's one of the prettiest games on the Xbox 360 too!

I recommend you the Home World saga. Don't forget to play with mods after you're done with the SP!!

Also, you should get the VBA (Gameboy Advance Emulator), that thing can even simulate link battles (IDK if you can link over the internet though).
If you want I can send it to you along with some ROMs.

And for your geek enjoyment, some old Star Wars classics:

    Star Wars: Dark Forces

Star Wars Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight (And it's expansion, "Mysteries of the Sith")

Star Wars Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast

Star Wars Jedi Knight 3: Jedi Academy.

That saga has some of the best maps ever, specially the older titles. Sigh, those were the good times :'(

    It's my style :D

BTW, have you tried Return to Wolfenstein Castle? The sequel, "enemy territory" is FREE!! You can download it and play multiplayer (cause it doesn't have SP), you should download the mod TrueCombat Elite!! That thing ROCKS!

I don't want to be a punk in any way, but I think most of us will appreciate it if you just left out the bold-facing. It doesn't make you any less cool man.

About games. If you want something quick and dirty without installing and all that hassle, get some ROMS.

Play some Zelda Ocarina of Time or Goldeneye. :)
