I wasn't sure where else to post this kind of question. I am in a dilemma though. I have a budget and want to buy a good brand tv for my wii i just bought mainly for super smash brothers brawl (whos excited for this game?). I have concluded to two options to buy a tv for the wii. Here they are:

    http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...0530?_encoding=UTF8&m=A2YLYLTN75J8LR&v=glance

    and

    http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...0530?_encoding=UTF8&m=A2EBKGKF3J2YXR&v=glance

which one of those two should I get? Also if anyone else has a good price under 500 dollars for a 20-26 inch lcd tv with a good brand, please post away.

I would get the first one. By the way, this should be in the off topic threads. Since it has nothing to do with notebooks. Hope I could help

Check out SamsClub.com. They have some of the better prices, even after factoring in the membership cost (like $40 a year).
They have some 26-27" LCD's for under 500.

If you're willing to go a bit higher (around $580), Vizio has a 32" LCD. I have that one and it's a great TV.

Also, the Wii will only support 480p, so you don't need to get any of the "true HD" 1080p tv's (not that there are any in that price range, anyway, but I'm just saying....).

Make sure you get a TV with Component interface. That way you can purchase the Wii component cables and make it display at its highest resolution.

You need a larger size tv to really enjoy playing on the wii. Especially if you want to play super smash brawl then I would guess you want to play with some friends. I have a 52" screen that I play my wii on and honestly I don't think it's big enough.

is vizio a good brand? I have not heard positive comments from their customers. I am not sure though. I was debating whether to get a vizio or not but i never heard of them. Brand is very important to me when buying an expensive item like a tv.

Thanks. I was also wanting to go to the approach of buying lcd monitors. What would I need to buy for the wii to play on a monitor. I feel it may be cheaper to buy a monitor/speakers/anything else needed for a wii than a tv.

Yes, that is why I said, "I have that one and it's a great TV."
