Just curious what video card would run wow on a 14" laptop with good settings. I'm not really sure if the 8400 128mb is good enough, or if the 7700 512mb is anybetter. I'm looking for fairly cheap ~1000, but will go higher if needed.
Also i wuold like the screen to be a high resolution screen for a 14"
All i have really come across so far is the asus a8js, but its a little pricey. Does anyone else have any suggestions?
Thanks for your help

the 8400M is good enough to run WOW well.

You don't need much, the 8400GS should run well with everything maxed on medium resolution, though at max it may suffer a bit.
My x700 runs WoW at max settings(with a few things at medium/off) at max resolution fine, and my card is pretty outdated, only a bit slower then the 8400GS IIRC. -
with my acer i ran wow @ 1280 x 768 with everything on high and didnt dip below 45FPS. u really dont need much. and if u can try and find an 8400 GT they are much better than the gs models.

If you want something with a little more kick try the Zepto Znote 6624W which is a 14.1" with a 512mb 8600m gt

I have not seen any 8400gt models i dont think. The dell one i was looking at was a GS, not sure what else to look at as far as laptops. The Go 7700 is better then the 8400 right? I just found the a8j for about 1400, still more then i wanted to spend though.

The upcoming ASUS F8sv is rumoured to have the 8600GT, but it has been listed as the ATI HD2600 and 8600GS on ASUS's global site, nothing on the ASUS North America site yet.
The business class ASUS V2s has the 8600GS as well. -
WoW will run on pretty much anything.
You sacrifice for it in graphics quality... but oh well... -

Take a look at the Inspiron 1420. Good price and it'll run WoW no problem. I can run WoW on my X200M! It's not a demanding game.

yeah i just configed the 1420 on the dell site. Dell charges tax which sucks, so even with the coupon code its 1200 + 100 dollars tax, seems like i should just go for the asus

My setup runs WOW with everything set at high (except for one setting) at 30fps consistantly.
What videocard/laptop with 14" screen to run WoW on good settings
