I haven't really had a decent notebook GPU since I got rid of my T42 with the 9600. Not that the X1300 is all that great, but it's better than the Intel 950 on my other R60. While I figure I can't run the latest and greatest, perhaps maybe someone can suggest some good games that will run well on the X1300 hardware? I can do some bargain shopping on eBay. I don't like twitchy games, but something where some thought is involved. Thanks for any help.

ATI isn't bad, but that card was low to mid-range back then. Do you like adventures/rpg's? Anything older than 3 years I would say should run fine with it. :)

My friend has a Dell Inspiron 6400 which has an ATI x1300 also, I've tried all the COD series (1 - 5) on it and all runs pretty well, beside you can try Guitar Hero III and Aerosmith
The only problem with it is the driver, I've tried to install the newest one from ATI website and CoD 2 and 4 refused to run, then I have to switch back to the 1 and a half years old driver.

I think he is referring to the ATI X1300 found in Thinkpads.

I do some gaming on mine which includes:

    World of Warcraft
    Battlefield 2
    Half Life 2

That's about as adventurous as I have gotten.

I think I have that laying around somewhere. I was just looking for some good games since I haven't really had a laptop that could game since I got rid of my T42 early '06, which I did play HL2 on. So I haven't really been keeping up on what's good. I didn't have anything specific in my, except nothing where lightening reflexes are involved. Something with some thought involved. I'm not really a RPGer either. Thanks for the replies.
