What's Your Favorite First Person Shooter (FPS)

There are many FPS games out there, I'm not very familiar with many of the newest ones so I wont be adding them to the poll.

My favorite would have to be Counter Strike Source, second would be FEAR.

Feedback as to why would be nice too, I like CSS because most of my friends play it and its really fun online.

 

I think there are NBR counter strike team in here somewhere, you might want to ask around. Or do a search on user Gator, and look at the posts he made.

Where is DOD:S? Seriosly? Smacks the brains out of CS.

 

I still like playing Halo/Halo2

 

Doom series, it was really a toss up between the and half life series though.

 

I would say "Half-Life 2" for single player series, but we all know that no FPS is complete with a seriously competitive online atmosphere. So my vote goes to the Counterstrike series.

FEAR. I've re-played that game so many times. There's just something so amazingly satisfying about blowing enemies away in slow motion with the shotgun.

 

Battlefield 2 and 2142. I love the unlocks weapons.

BF 2142 is what im playing now but i absolutely LOVED FEAR in single player mode. I havent even tried the online play.

 

I voted COD2, but in reality I enjoyed COD:UO more, especially the multiplayer.

HL2/CS:S are also quality games

Counter-strike is still a classic. I'd be happy to play some CS if anyone wanted to. But right now, I'm quite fond of playing R6:Vegas and CoD3 on my Xbox 360 over Xbox Live. I used to love playing Quake 3 and UT 2002 (along with CS) in computer shops. The last time I regularly went to a computer shop was around 4 years ago.

 

I used to play Counterstrike all the time. First CS 1.6 and then CSS, but I kinda lost my interest in Counterstrike.

The latest FPS I played is R6:Vegas which I think is one of the best fps I played in a while.

Yep, this one gets my vote too, still paly it after like 7 years. needs the expansion packs though.

My fondest memories are playing Wolfenstein 3D out of DOS (I was 4-5?). On a console I've played Time Splitters (PS2 & GC) more than any other game. But because of the limited choices listed I voted for FEAR, the reflex and the great AI make it stand out.

i've played a lot of computer games and video games but i always end up coming back to CS, its the game that will probably always be fun

PC: def CS, CS:S nothing comes close although I have been playing BF2142 more lately, but thats just because my friends have been playing that, so to play with them I have to play that.
Console: Nothing beats Halo 2 other than the Halo 3 beta and then Halo 3 in the fall.

 

Voted FEAR, but ever since I got the Halo 3 beta last night I am inclined to say it is my new favorite

Actually your laptop is pretty decent, you can play some of the latest games without problems. At lower settings/resolution, yes, but you can play them. A 128MB Radeon 9600 is nothing to sneeze at. It's far better than an integrated solution.

Right now COD2, also played MOH for years before I got sick of it. WWII theme is my favorite, especially the rifle servers

 

I do believe that Carnivors was/is my all time favorite. Carnivors 2 was just too hard.

 

we're 3 now, as i'm a devoted UT fan, but hey don't worry, just waiy, Unreal 3 will blow all the competition when it's out.

When i want to war like a soldier Battlefiled 2, cuz i have it, but by the game package graphic COD Series look like its cool too .

I have tryd out Red orchestra when they gave us a weekend to try it, its weird but i was getting good .
So its bf2 cuz its the one i have it .

When i want to shoot bodyparts, like heads, and scout people and hide back behind the box i like Counter Strike CZ, its not cuz i have it, its cuz its the best .

But games are all waste of life time !
