    X1300 = X1300

    I'd probably say the X1400 is equivalent to a desktop X1300 PRO.

    What is that for a question Darbyjack...sorry mate but I think that question is stupid. EVerybody knows that a X800 is much much much more better then the X1300.

    A mobility Radeon 9800 256 is even better then X700 256 MB so... Next gen doesnt say that much. It is just more futureproof and supports more special effects in newer games.

    I thought for desktops, newer cards means more performance. One of my friends has an X1300 and plays BF2 on max detail settings...

    A 6200 is more powerful than a 5600 etc...

    so no its not a stupid question.

    Not really. Same class next gen part will punch the lights out of their older brethren. Mid-range cards of the new gen are probably on par with the high end previous gen. And the high end of the last gen will use low-end current gen cards as punchbags.

    i had an x850xt, and it played BF2 maxed, so i think the x1300/1400 is not = to a x800. i think it would be around what chaz said.

    pb,out.

    mobile cards are never as powerful as their desktop equivilents. desktop graphics cards can use more power, be larger and become warmer, while mobile cards have to be small, power efficient and be as cool as possible. I'd say the x1300(desktop) is on par with the old 9700, but not 100% sure

    The X1300 is a budget card, and you aren't going to get good performance out of it. It's definitely a step up from an X300, which it replaced as ATI's budget card, but not close to an X700 or other previous-generation mid-range card.

    Here's a review of the X1300, as compared to other desktop cards:
    http://www.bjorn3d.com/read.php?cID=880

    That sums it up right there.

    If you want to game on a budget, pick up a 6600GT or maybe an X800GT if you can find it cheap enough. Those are much better than the X1300.
