What's the newest total war series game I could run on my laptop?

Self explanatory, I've had a craving for a long winded micro managing RTS, but want something I can run on my laptop and output to my monitor. I'm pretty sure medieval will run, but was curious if something newer will run, like Rome or Midieval II. I didn't really like Empire, and I'm pretty sure Napoleon and Shogun 2 won't run. Specs are in sig.. not much but it's what I have at my disposal right now! I would really like to try some of the Rome realism mods. I know I'm behind the times.. but I rarely if ever get a change to game on PC anymore.

Also, any other suggestions for games that might run in the same genre as TW, Civ, Anno, etc?

Any good RTS civ/military type games out of late? regardless of if I can run it or not. Anything space sci fi -ish? I haven't enjoyed anything like that since Sins. And I loved Sins. Oddly, I hated galactic civilizations..

Something old enough/readily available from my peers

    Thanks :)

EDIT: Please note that I have integrated graphics, and would like to run this at 1920x1200.. but will use my laptop monitor if the reduction in resolution makes an unplayable game playable.

Erm... I think Rome or Medieval 1 might work with Integrated. I know for sure Medieval II, Empire, Napoleon and Shogun 2 will falter on your current Thinkpad setup even at low settings with the resolution you want.

rome will work anything latter than that wont. I had a similar setup although older (T2500) and it could run rome ok, there was the toothpick legs problem, but aside that I could run it at decent settings.

You could try empire at war, its also pretty forgiving on older hardware, specially space battles, when on land battles do use the lowest settings possible.
