That can run World of Warcraft at max settings + max res at close to or around 60fps? Max res being 1280x800 (or whatever that common widescreen res is)

Can a 7700go in the A8Js do this? How about the 7400go?

I played WoW: BC on my x700 at mid settings with max resolution(1400x1050) and it runs at a good 50-60 FPS in raids, so I would think that the 7600 would run everything at max at max settings. The 7400 should run at low to mid at max resolution though.

edit: I 'played', been off WoW for 4 months and counting :D

If you're gaming you should go with the most powerful GPU you can afford in the laptop size range you are looking at, so for a 15.4" machine, a Go7600 or X1600 would be ideal.

I think even a Go7400/X1400 should be able to run WoW at max settings at a WXGA resolution, although I own neither the game nor a notebook with one of those two cards so perhaps someone can confirm.

Go8600 is probably overkill for WOW, you'll be fine with a Go7600

WoW isn't very GPU intensive; I think the 7400/x1400 should be able to run it maxxed.

i agree an ati x700 would even do the trick! My laptop runs the game on low-mid settings.
