Quite frankly I found that game very frustrating and repetitive.

    It's not really a puzzle game. It's just a hope-your-balancing-your-skyscraper-properly.

Am I the only one who feels this way?

As an engineer, I thought I would appreciate it, but like you, I'm not real happy. While there are "physics" involved, there is a lot to be desired. It was fun for about an hour, then I grew bored real quick. Some levels even required you to click quick enough a couple times and in the right spot to get the exact balance you needed. Not something I'm quite fond of. Plus trying to grab a goo sometimes was problematic.

Great concept, just could have been executed a little bit better IMHO.

yeah lol the game was fun, I played the demo, but yeah, after an hour it just pissed me off and didnt want to play it ever again. Mostly because when u build it, it will start going back and forth, which ever side has more.

I enjoyed the WoG demo. Quite a bit actually. Until the level where a tower needs to be built quite high. I could not do it and became an excercise in frustration. I eventually turned to youtube for a video walkthrough of the level. The trick came down to fast mouseclicks and precise goo placements. Still could not finish the level and have since uninstalled WoG from my computer.

The hype died a week after it launched.

Well, I thought I was the only one, or was missing something. But apparently not. I think the game has great potential, but it should be more at your own pace type puzzle game than rapid clicking IMHO. I would enjoy it much more if it were less time constrained.

I don't think the game was supposed to be played for hours. It's a time waster, you play it for 15 minutes when you are bored and that it, you go do something else...

I beat it in two days and thought it was awesome. The end game is very amusing.

Im with you there, its not something that is supposed to be played for hours. I got it because I can kill time in between classes and what not.

I liked it a bunch too. And finished it. Some levels were frustrating, but I found the end rewarding. Not quite as good as Braid, but still very good. To each thier own though.

same with me. i stopped playing for a few days but i came playing back. eventually passed the level and moved on to the last..

its worth playing actually (at least for me.. ^^)
i love the sign painter's indirect and somehow poetic clues, like the one where it tells you that there was a spinning wheel up in the sky. made me look up, turns out, you had to make a spinning wheel..

Part of the hype maybe comes from the fact that it was an Indie game.

It's more of a past time game rather than an addicting type >.> You don't spend hours on World of Goo(at least not in one go lol :p); you spend short bursts of maybe tops 30min when you have time to kill.

I believe that's what it was made for and I've probably wasted quite a few hours on it if you add it all up lol :p
