I'll start. Me and 4-5 other guys were pinned down in an alley in Seinne Crossing (BF3). A support was raining down LMG fire from somewhere. Anyone pushing forward was quickly taken out. I peeked out of cover and vaguely saw muzzle flashes from a second floor window. I switch to my RPG. I take aim and fire. Boom, a large hole gets blown into the side of the building. The LMG is silenced and we get to advance. It was just like taking out the sniper in the first single player mission. That was my Battlefield moment, what's your's?

BF 1942: Pretty much every Omaha Beach game I played was epic. Trying to advance up both sides of the ramps with a tiger camped on one and a panzer camped on the other. The Germans had those 2 artillery pieces that could just rain death on the beach. At the same time the Allies had to push up (usually by taking the mini bunker on the left, clearing it out with grenades, then skillfully lobbing bazookas to hit those tanks. And even sometimes we got a fully loaded jeep to zoom past the tank on the right ramp, dodge all hell, and quick cap their base in the far back, effectively surrounding them.

BF2: Mashtuur City. Great helicopter battles, jeeps, tanks, apcs, you name it. So much flanking, so many different routes and entrances to cap flags. Great map for city sniping too. I think it really was the only map I played.

BF Vietnam: The maps with that thick jungle setting were my favorite. Setting up ambushes along the roads, creeping around the edge of maps, all while hueys are flying over blasting "Fortunate Son" (whoever thought of putting music like that in a BF game is a genius).

BF 2142: Didn't play much (less than 50 hours), but what I do remember was the close quarter fighting in those hovering ship/bases you had to destroy from the inside.

    Bad Company: Didn't play

Bad Company 2: Destroying farm houses and apartments and having them crash down on unsuspecting victims. I was also a HUGE fan of the bullet drop. Sniping in general was a fantastic experience. I forget the name of that one map with the ship in the center surrounded by houses on each side, but sniping on that map was so much fun. I'd set myself up on one end of the map near a 2nd story window of a house, aim really high (well, relatively), and just watched head shot after head shot after head shot happen from such a distance with such a long bullet travel time.

Anyways, I can't wait to get my hands on BF3 (just gotta finish this semester, then I'll be building a gaming desktop for the first time) to have more awesome Battlefield experiences.

Battlefield 1942 Omaha Beach. Just trying to get to the base of the hill was the most challenging thing for the Americans. 2 ways up the hill, at least one of them was guarded by a tank. To add to that, a giant bunker having 2 mg42s on the sides of both hills.

To add more to the epicness, the Americans had a destroyer vessel that could fire artillery rounds at any part of the map. Likewise, the Germans had artillery bunkers of their own and could take down the destroyer if desired.

BF1942, Forgotten Hope mod, Omaha Beach: Charlie Sector map.

Anyone who has played the original BF1942 omaha beach map knows that it is nothing like the actual omaha beach; it has giant cliffs on either side of a fairly narrow beach. The version of omaha beach in the Forgotten Hope realism mod was basically the intro scene of Saving Private Ryan; the beach was very wide with no silly cliffs on the side, and then a cliff face right where it should be at the end of the bank. In order to advance, the allies had to blow the doors at the bottom of the bunkers (which were in the cliff side and went down to the base of the cliff, and up to the top of the cliff), then fight through the bunkers to get to the top. After the Allies captured the 2 spawns on these bunkers they had to fight through something like a mile more of map through hedgerows. With 64 players it was a pretty convincing D day scenario.

Forgotten Hope also had a map that was ENTIRELY water and attempted to replicate the battle between the Bismarck and the HMS Hood. The British had the Hood, the HMS Prince of Wales and an aircraft carrier with planes, while the germans had the Bismarck, the Prinz Eugen, and a submarine or two (both teams also had supply ships and maybe a few others that I am forgetting). This map with 64 players was nothing short of epic; basically there was a gunner in every battleship and destroyer gun, and planes with torpedoes flying overhead.

For me Forgotten Hope was really the deepest BF experience I have ever had. The modders who made it literally made DOZENS of excellent maps and added tens if not hundreds of new vehicles and weapons straight out of WWII.

BF2142 titan mode was also fun for me, especially on Highway Tampa with 64 players and a good squad using VOIP and teamwork.

Nothing so far in BF3 has come anywhere near any of these experiences for me; there is just too much missing. It is not a deep enough game.

Too many to mention, most in BF2. But recently in BFBC2 I shot off an RPG into the air accidentally as I switched to my main gun because someone was running towards me, took him out, and my RPG took out a chopper by complete fluke, then threw a grenade that took an odd bounce and landed and killed three guys that I didn't even know were there. It was like six kills in all of a few seconds, with five of them complete flukes. LOL. Wish I could have recorded that moment. It was classic.

Battlefield 2. Camping the roof on Hotel (Strike at Kharkand). We see a guy coming up so my friend put down a claymore next to the staircase.

I jump down, parachute, and put a claymore near the bottom of the stairs. Funny how he realised how ed he was looking around so we left him for a while not shooting him. Then after a few more seconds we just started shooting him.

In BF3, I was parked in a T-90 by the RU spawn in Capsin River on the edge of the road laying cannon fire at one of the capture points. The US had an Abrams there and I was able to take it out before they spotted me and I continued to lay down fire. While at the same time a stupid F-18 pilot few right in my line of fire and out of luck I accidently got a hit on him and blew him out of the sky. XD

Recently in BF3, I shot a stinger at a heli. The gunner must have gotten spooked and decided to bail. Just as he exited, my stinger exploded in the proximity. I ended up killing the gunner as well as disabling the chopper.

An anti-personnel vehicle was rolling up past a corner on one of the smaller maps (looks sort of like the city area in metro, forget the name of the map).

Anyway, the armored vehicle is rolling up to take control of the area and cap the flag. My team is behind cover in front of the tanks path. It's a matter of time before the tank in coordination with the support of the infantry behind the tank takes the area and the flag behind it.

I'm crouched behind the potted plant right at the corner, past the dead zone between my side and the tank and the troops on their side. They walk right past me, and I'm looking at them at an angle. I take down all 3 people behind the tank. Two more walk up and I mow them down too, then bail out down the alley. The tank (armored vehicle) wasn't enough by itself to take the area. Very cool.
