    whats the faster cpu for windows apps?
    A A64 3700+ or a Turion 1.6?

    Whats faster for everything?
    A Gateway 7426gx or a msi-1029?

    Depends on the apps really. As for the machines, depends on how they're configured and what exactly they'll be doing.

    Well, I've had both a AMD64 3400+ and now I have a Turion 1.6

    I haven't noticed a difference really, except in benchmarks, where the 3400+ has more horsepower.

    The 3700+ will be faster, but not terribly noticeably so.
