Is there a chart they follow? I heard the 860m runs like a desktop GTX 580m. So I am wondering what the GTX 970m is compared to? thx

Was about to make a snide remark about 680 release date but thought better of it...

I'd say it performs very close to a desktop 770. My friend has the SSC version of a 770gtx and with same settings in BF4 we were both reporting very similar FPS with my 970m at stock. Probably within 5FPS or so. I'm sure I can close that gap fully with an overclock.

Edit: He also was using a desktop i5 4690k @ stock.

The 980M performs similarly to the GTX 780, in terms of FPS in games. Benchmarks vary.

I agree that a GTX 680/770 would match the 970M pretty well. The 970M also outperforms the 780M by roughly 20%, depending on the game.
