In RTS games, I always like to play 3v3+ with the exception that I play a "support" role and focus on defence/heals or else I do not enjoy it as much.

I hate multi player games, they feel repetitive and boring. they're ok with a few friends every once in a while, but not all the time. In fact, the only multi player game I actually enjoy (and play often) was DotA, and now Dota 2.
I avoid spending a lot of times playing games. it's the thing I do when i can't sleep or need to kill an hour or so here and there. I'd rather be reading a good book most the time. -
I hate when in multiplayer mode ... a match takes more than 35min.
I like to buy games on sales, saying to myself i'm sure i'll play it but never touched it.
I hate how i can't find games like UT99 (Unreal Tournament). *I'm still very active on it* -
Have you tried DiRT Showdown. -
I buy too many games i will never play (i have 200 games on steam... realistically i want to play them, but i probably wont play half of them)
I like to play online games while watching hulu/netflix, but it ruins my ping :/ -
Well I saw here many weird gaming peeves that from time to time I do too but I think that my weirdest gaming peeve would be that so I could be completely satisfied with a Game, is that I just have to finish it 'perfectly'. I mean I love it when I explore every corner of the map or I finish the Game with 100% or a perfect score. But because I very much like Racing and Sports-Games that is really hard to not lose a game or race without trying again.
In Shooter or Action-Adventures it's not that hard but just time consuming to look in every corner for ammo or other stuff like a hidden way. -
Fat Dragon Just this guy, you know?
If that's a common default control scheme for racing games, it's news to me - I only occasionally play Burnout Paradise with a USB Xbox 360 controller. In my experience, the arrow keys tend to be default keys only for pure keyboard platformers, where it is a perfectly reasonable control scheme and enhances the old-school gaming nostalgia that those games often cater to. -
@Fat Dragon:
A PC-Racing Game with WASD default control scheme would be news to me.
I'm playing most games also with a USB Xbox 360 Controller but still i'v never saw a game that doesn't have this default keboard control scheme. -

Not that racing games are any good with a keyboard, mind you. -
And btw older Racing Games suck with the Controller.
Only the newer ones with the 'Games for Windows"-Logo are played better with the Controller.
I can say this with confidence because I played a LOT of Racing/Sport-Games and also the older ones. -
So I guess just some of my weird peeves, hate playing with lag just can't stand it and I'll go bezerk. I like to be completely alone when playing or it'll just distract that someone's near, and especially if someone's watching over me while playing and if they comment that's it our friendship ends there on that spot.
Hate playing mmos because I've been so influenced by top down games like diablo, and hate playing strategy games one on one, prefer 2v2 or 3v3. -
-
On-topic: Another gaming peeve is lack of subtitle option. I know it's pretty pathetic to rely on the subtitles but sometimes I enjoy the game more with it. -
Peeve's
Never have been able to do MMORPG's, and I MUST have a halogen lamp w/ shade to play. No other light can do. -

wont play online or multiplayer... ever..

Mine is less of a peeve than a frustration. I want to play WoW again, but I don't want to get sucked back into the raiding scene, nor do I want to deal with the perception from my family that I've "relapsed". Diablo 3 is somewhat close, but I miss the whole MMO community thing. -
I can't listen to my own music. I always have to listen to the in-game background music and sounds.
-
When playing a FPS game, I can never have a partly-empty ammo clip. Every time I kill someone(s), I *must* reload, else I feel "exposed" without the full 20- or 30-bullet clip in my rifle. Same with any other weapon.
This sometimes leaves me helpless when another enemy pops around the corner and blasts my face with lead whenever I'm mid-way through reloading my gun T_T. -
-
-
With that note, shotguns tick me off -
haha, I suffer from 'must-reload' syndrome too!
-
It's pretty bad to suffer from this syndrome in very quick shooters like Counter Strike.
-
-
-
Whenever someone shoots me after taking cover on a wall in bf3 and get angry that I can't see if they are hacking or just got lucky because bf3 doesn't have kill cams
That and most my friends play on xbox/ps3 and i'm the only one playing on pc -
Wanting to play online games when I feel like it and I feel less inclined to when people start annoying me to get ingame.
-
If I know a game will have lots of DLC, I only buy the GOTY edition. I did that with Oblivion, Fallout 3, and I plan to buy New Vegas soon.
Whats your weird gaming peeve?
