Does anyone know when the 8800 or 8900 Go will come out? I am thinking about getting a Dell XPS laptop but may wait if it's coming out soon.

Might be sooner rather then later. I am excited about all the new info for the go8600 and 8400 that I found today. But i still dont expect the 17" models to come with a go8800 till end of may at the earliest.

It'll be out by the end of this summer at the earliest. Nvidia is having issues adapting the 8800 to laptops because the desktop version puts out so much heat.

I hope they come as fast as possible; the intel manager for nb said, that Santa Rosa NBs should be DX10 Nbs and blu-ray nbs :)
I suggest that nvidia won't adapt the G80 Chip on Laptops; they should better make a new one; so G81 or something like that - you can't make a 27cm Card in a Laptop.

    says who?
Considering the 8800 outputs only around 10% more heat than the equivalent 7800, I don't really think so. It always takes time to adapt a GPU to notebooks, but the 8800 is nothing special there. It's a no bigger leap in power consumption than most previous generations have been.

The G80 is powerhungry, yes, as is all other desktop GPU's. But its performance/watt is a lot better than that of most previous generations.

@ jbizzler: Nice one; good news to me. How these cards will have at least 64 Unified Shaders and a 256Bit interface.
