    Im planning to buy the following laptop

    Core duo, 2ghz
    1024Mb 667mhz RAM (1x1024)
    7600 256Mb ddr2
    100gb HD
    Fingerprint reader :D
    Webcam (1,3mp)
    Bluetooth
    free 12 Coke pack :rolleyes:

    1249 €

    when shall i buy it (from today to 1st january)?? is it the right moment?? shall i wait??? are prices really gonna drop with Vista and 64bits processors??

    Thats a pretty good setup. If I had the money I would buy it now and enjoy the 12 pack of coke while watch a dvd movie on new laptop ;)

    If you wait then you will be waiting and waiting because prices ALWAYS drop. It may be worth it to you to wait for pre-installed vista, that would be the only reason I see for waiting.

    The rule of thumb is: if you can wait, then do, but if you need a laptop now, then buy one.

    Well gaming performance running on Vista wont be as good as running on XP, apart from the fact that there will defo some compatability problems with Vista and some games!

    No not much. All of the laptops that are gonna be on offer for Xmas are coming out over the nxt week or two.. The new ranges arent gonna be out till early Feb. And they are gonna be all loaded with Vista.. even though knowbody knows this as its a BIG secret! Manufactures dont want people to know this cause it will impact Xmas sales as people wud prob want to wait for Vista!
