If you check Ebay now, you will find mostly HD3470/HD3650, 8600m, 9500m, and 9600m mxm cards listed. There may be some rare MXM III quadros and 9700m/9800m cards, but those are overpriced.
The HD4650/HD4670 has been out in notebooks for about a year almost. Within the last half-year, it has been adopted by many more recognizable notebook companies, such as Dell, HP, Acer, and Sony to name a few. And then there is MSI and Asus. We do know that the MSI EX625 has a highly compatible MXMII 4670 module. Asus will most likely have their flipped mxm module. But there is a good chance that the modules in the former mentioned laptop brands can be MXMII.
When, or if, can we expect the harvested notebook guts of these 4650/4670 mxm modules to hit ebay?

You probably won't see a lot until something better comes along. It's hard to find the best-in-class used, because no one is upgrading from it.

MXM III quadros and 9700m/9800m cards are also incompattible with standart 15" lappies.

Lets hope the answer to your question is; soon! Presently there is a 4570 on ebay so I think within a couple of months we will start seeing at least DDR2 4650's on ebay.

You could always just get a Compal KHLB2 barebones for $426 and extract it from the machine

Not sure if it's soldered onto the motherboard though...
When to expect MXM II 4650/4670s to hit Ebay?
