^ CS:Online is basically CS:CZ (condition zero) that is marketed by Nexon. The preview looked promising till I saw the gameplay. LOL.

The next Counter-Strike will be what half-life updates its graphics engine. atm you notice it's called Source now, so who knows? Maybe it'll branch off to it's own accord and continue being successful in it's own right. either IMO current CS is still good, and there's not too many justifications for a new one, although more, new weapons is a MUST! PLS MORE NEW WEAPONS :)

Well, both Counter-Strike 1.6 and Counter-Strike Source are both very popular so i dont really think Valve really need a new CS game yet.

Unlike other game makers that support their games until they release their sequel, Valve has always mantained their multiplayer games with patch fixes and such.

And getting Counter-Strike on Xbox 360 or PS3 would just be sad. :(
I remember Counter-Strike on Xbox, and it was a sad excuse for a game compared to the PC version.

    ;)

Korean MMOs aside, the next CS will likely come alongside Episode 3; as with CSS it will be another tired obligation and will likely flop. After which Valve will stop producing it.

I doubt they're going to put out another Counter-Strike, at least not until they make an entirely new engine to replace Source, and I don't see that happening any time soon.

Alongside Episode 3? Why would you think that? Episode 3 is still going to be built on the source engine, and I really doubt that Valve will build yet another version of CS on the source engine.

CS is good just the way it is right now, there is no need to make another one as of yet. Not until valve announce a new source engine.

Precisely. All of Valve's game sequels and remakes have been between engines. They had the original Half-Life and its expansions, Counter-Strike, Day of Defeat, and Team Fortress Classic on the GoldSrc engine. When the Source engine came about, they came out with Half-Life 2 and its expansions, Counter-Strike: Source, Day of Defeat: Source, and Team Fortress 2, among other new titles like Left 4 Dead.
