When I do it just takes me to the Alienware home page.

holy crap that's awesome!
-
OMG! Forget the F8SV I'm getting whatever company is making the 15.4' with the 8800GTX! (clevo?) yay! this thread made my day!
-
Since nobody has answered my question and I can not find anything about it on Alienware at all I'm going to say that the links are fake.
-
This link worked for me:
http://www.alienware.com/Configurat...?syscode=PC-LT-AREA51M17x&SubCode=SKU-DEFAULT
How come Alienware is so much cheaper in the US than in Australia? (This is aftrer taking to consideration the different values of the dollar currency). -
These two notebook models are set to launch on November 19th in New York.
They are not supposed to be debuted on the site yet... but the coding was discovered to exist on their site already.
So you can use an existing template to uncover their options and configurations.
Expect for these models to officially appear on the homepage in one week or so. -
15.4 inch with 8800GTX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ======DDDDDDDDDDDD
-
Before you get too excited, none of these are finalized yet, and still have some questionable additions (keyboard w/ numeric pad on a 15.4").
-
we will find out on Nov 19th for sure.

even if its just 17" notebooks come on guys dual SLI 8800's
oops just shorted out my keyboard drooling over this notebook.
people are putting question marks about them being clevo, but dont alienware use Arima?
or am I just old and behind the times
?
-
15.4" notebook with x7900 and 8800GTX. Unbelievable. I'm really jealous...
Stupid M570ru.
By the way, is the x7900 worth upgrading to from a T7700? If "yes", where can I get a x7900? I will be getting the 8800GTX without question, however do I just throw out the 8700m or what? -
the Intel Extremem CPUs are never bang for the buck, only for those that want to throw away money, or does not have to pay for it themselves.
-
You'd think Alienware would make a bigger fuss if they had made a 15.4" laptop with an 8800m.
-
they will, their Nov 19 launch has been a huge secret for all employees for a while now.
they even made a contest to decipher an alien message to win a trip and stuff for the launching. -
I still find it very hard to believe that Alienware made a 15.4" (who's the ODM?) that has an 8800m and an Intel x7900.
Seems a bit far fetched to me, but I'm no laptop designer. Maybe they got hands on some alien technology....
-
omg omg omg 15 inch... OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the best news (even though not confirmed) ive heard in MONTHS
-
omg omg omg... I just switched the url to
http://www.alienware.com/Configurator_Pages/area-51_m15x.aspx
And heres the one that actually configs it (15.4incher)
http://www.alienware.com/Configurat...?syscode=PC-LT-AREA51M17x&SubCode=SKU-DEFAULT
And it says $1399 for the 15.4 incher... I mean who is going to buy the 17incher? its about 600 more...
And any notice how they use Crysis nanosuit demo video screens for title backgrounds on the second configuration screen?! -
The Forerunner Notebook Virtuoso
Ah, perfect. See there is a possibility the c90 will get the 8800.
-
80+ Stream Processors
Who's the man ?
Can't wait to get my hands on one of those babies
-
Alienware will really kill the competition on the 19th of November - I hope Dell gets some upgrades for the new xps out quick.

-
Darn, none of those links appear to be working anymore. Anyone have some screenshots?
-
The Forerunner Notebook Virtuoso
Yeah, lucky I still had the window open. Appears they took the links down.

You were quicker than me
but I have a couple more pics
The first one is 8800m specs, the second one the cart I have configured. Seems it is not valid anymore....
that's a pity, it was a very interesting system!

I just woke up.
When did they find out my leak and plugged it?
-
On alienware forums, they found a link on alienware website with 15 and 17 inch notebooks with 8800mGTX_let me repeast MOBILE! The website is still being desinged. I called alienware, and said new product will be out soon, but they were very careful not to saying anything about card.
HOpefually, toshiba, dell, alienware, and others will have this card soon. I am going nuts waiting for this card for my new high end laptopt! I want to purchase 8700m, but am going to wait. Any other info? -
shall i wait to buy then?
-
Where's the marketing push for this 8800m card that's a month away? Just to lay it all out there seems a bit odd to me, not that they haven't done this in the past but this is finally the card that will be the supposed leader on mobile platforms! Has anyone heard if it will support directx 10.1?
-
That is a most definite NO. There is no nVidia based GPU supporting DX10.1 at this point.
Gophn, seems that alienware staff is paying attention at what notebookreview says about them
8800M will be somewhere between the 8800GTS 320mb and the 8800GT 512, as the specs say...however,since it might consume just 35 W, I would like to see higher clock speeds, closer to the 8800GT at least...then we can say it is the Beast.
-
Oh well... im gonna wait for this card... if im lucky ill find a clevo reseller who gonna sell it before mid december...
-
Rumors where that the 8800m (GT) consumes only 22W. Given that the 8700 GT consumes 20W, it seems strange to me. However, if alienware succeeded into putting it in a 15.4 case.... There should be also a GTX version, and the 8700GT should be renamed 8800m GS.
-
Actually the 8700M GT has a 35w TDP... not 20w.
-
The 8700GT eats upto 35 W, I don't know where you got the 20W info from.
I think we should leave the renaming part to nVidia
EDIT : Gophn, you beat me to it
-
Hmm have a hard time believe this 8800m will reach 8800GT speeds, given how much heat the 8800GT generates
But this is great news, maybe time to get a new lappie with a mobile 8800m.
But damn I wished the 8800m would at least have GTX amount of shaders, this card is nowhere near my 8800GTX in terms of performance if the specs are correct, I wished it become as fast as my current 8800GTX.
And given how easy my 8800GTX is to overclock too, I think heat puts a stop really early in overclocking the 8800m.
Tell me I´m wrong, just speculating here
But a 15,4 with a 8800m I say WOOT!
-
yeah, this is pretty damn cool to me. i'm about to buy an hp 8510, and now i'm already thinking about selling it after this stuff comes out lol
-
You guys see the front page? Chaz's post says the Alienware 15" can be tricked out with an 8800...crazy stuff.
-
Desktop cards will always be faster than their corresponding laptop card. But 8800M will definitely be a huge improvement over 8700M GT and the current fastest laptop card Go 7950 GTX. And that, if it really fits into 15,4" is awesome news and IMHO a real step up for the enthusiast level laptops. Currently only 17" notebooks can handle the heat levels of current fastest cards.
-
What do you mean ?
-
you mean this post?
-
From here.
http://www.nvidia.com/object/quadro_nvs_notebook_techspecs.html
NVS 320M == 8700GT.... or am I wrong? -
You are wrong, you may be thinking of the quadro 1600M ...
-
9800 = DX10.1 for sure... I mean...what a waste of reputation from DX10 8800
-
9800 Is still just speculation.Besides, the way things are going, new gpus aren't a big deal, quad gpu mobos are
-
Oh so you mean 9800gtx oc'ed in quad sli... hmmm thats definitaly breaking the 4 teraflops
-
are you out too irritate people on purpose...i just dont get it
-
i dunno...quad sli to me seems pretty pointless...firstly it would cost about 3000+ just for the cards, and then a year later another card will come out that will beat all 4, for 1/4 the cost.
-
FX 1600M = NVS 320M = 8700M GT
However, the NVS drivers are meant for lower power consumption and heat, the FX drivers support some hardware accelerated features not available for the other two cards.
Also, if you install regular GeForce drivers on the NVS 320M / FX 1600M they will perform like the 8700M GT in games... -
QUAD SLI with card like the 8800GT cost only ~1000 $ . And they should run ANYTHING at the highest possible resolution.
The 8700MGT, call it as you like, has a TDP of 35 W. End of story.
*Where are the nVidia 8800m cards?*
