I live in Canada and since I"m going to Hong Kong this summer for vacation I thought it might be cheaper to buy a DS lite there instead. So I have a few questions:
1. Will games that I buy in Canada work?
2. Are there a PAL and NTSC versions?
4. Any difference between buying it in Canada and buying it in Hong Kong?
3. Anything else I should know?
regards,

well...you can surf the web with a ds...record music...sift through photos, watch videos, play music, use it like a pda. In many ways it's like a laptop from 1995 ,but miniturized. Ofcourse you need the proper kit to do this with your DS., except for the Opera browser which will be out this summer.
As for the questions.. That's some good ones. I would google for some NDS forums..and ask around..there's plenty to be found. -
I brought a DS Lite from Hong Kong last year when I was on holiday there. There is absolutely no difference from buying there or Canada, however I think they have more colour options in HK, not sure whether they brought the colours to other countries now. Also, you can get it cheaper in HK, but not a lot, depends whether you buy them from larger 'safer' branded stores.
You can also get flashcarts etc for the DS on the way in HK, but I won't go into that -
I just bought mine from the local Best Buy and also got their 2 year warrenty, thats something nice to have so if I ever break it I can take it back and get a new one.
Where can I buy a DS lite?
