I researching on different gaming platform's online population. Where can I get stats on how many members are online on each platform and what they are playing?
Also, if I buy a game on Steam, that's branded "Games For Windows Live" on CD, will I be playing on different servers than the people who bought the CD?

For the second question, I don't think so ._. I play CoD:WaW using the retail version and still see my friend who got it through steam.

If you buy a GFWL game as a retail copy or digital, you will play on GFWL's service.
There are a handful of games where XBL and GFWL can play with each other, the ones off the top of my head are Lost Planet: Colonies Edition and Shadowrun. With Final Fantasy 11, PS2, 360 and PC gamers can all play together. -

Depends on your connection maybe ._. I sometimes just join random games and it usually takes 5-10mins before they get sorted out or have the desired number of players

Wait, you can't join in the middle of a nazi zombies game, can you? or are you talking about multiplayer...:S

Way too many questions in here.
First, you'll find the most players on XBox Live and the least on Games for Windows Live.
Second, unless cross platform multiplayer is a stated feature of the game, it will not be present.
Third, there's really no sense in asking how long it takes to load up a Zombie match. On what? The PS3, 360 or PC? Don't base your purchase of a console (assuming that's what this thread is about) on one game mode.
Also, you should know that on the consoles the extra Zombie maps cost money and with MW2 coming out you're not gaining much buying CoD4 or WaW. -
I am asking about Nazi Zombies, because it is my favorite game to play, and I've had trouble on the PS3, so i am curious as to how it is on PC.
Where can I find stats on PSN. XBL, and the GFW Live populations?
