I am still wondering if ATI is ever going to put the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4870 into any other laptop besides that X2 version. I thought this card was released many months ago but I have only seem its 4850 smaller brother. I guess its another paper launch like the 3870. I have never seem a 3870 in any laptop, so in the future I guess I will be sticking with Nvidia and just bypass all the ATI promises of launching any mobile gaming cards.
Dont get me wrong, I have an tried the mobile 4850 but I just hate the keyboard on the MSI GT725. I love the specs and the price but the keyboard made me not buy it. I just want to see more ATI gaming cards on more laptop besides only a few.

Actually the Arima W840 had the 3870 with the option to have Crossfire configuration: http://www.xoticpc.com/force-extreme-built-flextronics-arima-w840-ocznbim17a-w840di-p-2495.html
I think in time it'll come out, but most of the high end laptops seem to be sticking with nvidia which is probably why we haven't seen the 4870. -
I think MSI GT 735 has the single ati card also. 3850 or 70

W90 comes with the ATI graphics

Erm, 3870 have been in laptops for half a year and more...
4870 GDDR3 are already in laptops and we waiting for the GDRR5 release to come out.
There are no X2 versions for laptops (dont confuse X2 cards with Crossfire setups) -
it is a vapor ware

I actually have a single Mobility 3870 that I'll be selling soon.
Where has the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4870 w/ GDDR5 gone too?
