I play counter-strike and have used the 640/480 resolution forever. when i try to run it at 640 through my external monitor the image becomes stretched and distorted. what's weird is that when i dont have my laptop plugged into the monitor the image scales correctly. i know my monitor supports 640 because it is the same monitor the i used for my old computer. my old computer had an ATI graphics card and had an option to maintain the aspect ratio. it seems like these nvidia drivers are lacking this feature or maybe i am just missing it. this is what my NVIDIA control panel looks like.

1)Click on Custom and select Advanced.
2)Go to Display > Adjust desktop size and position.
3)Click on Use NVIDIA scaling with fixed-aspect ratio.
    4)Click Apply.
    5)?????
    6)Profit.
7)You are done, now go kick some .

    Hope that helps.
    Cheers!

clicking on advanced doesn't enable more settings. i already have every setting that is available to change enabled in my custom view. i'll give more information about my setup. i am using an alienware m11x-r2 with an nvidia geforce gt 335m and an integrated intel video card . my driver version is 257.3. i dont know if im being totally dull and not seeing the display setting. i hope not.

optimus drivers are still new, maybe they just don't support it yet.
