OK. I read your "READ THIS FIRST" and many other posts saying how 99% of laptops do not have upgradeable video cards in them.

Mine does. I have verified this in the manual, it not only says I can do it, but shows me how as well. And by effortlessly removing my video card and inspecting it.

My problem is, I can't find a website that sells laptop video cards. My screen shuts off after 15-20 minutes of operation and will not come back untill I let the computer sit, powered down, for around 30-60 minutes or so. I hooked up my desktop monitor to the external monitor port and the same thing happens. Leading me to believe this is a card problem and not a screen/monitor issue. In addition my GPU chip has a discolored look to it (rainbow in fact) also leading me to believe I may have overheated it at some point.

My "re-seller" has been less than forthcoming about helping me find a place to by a another card.

Does any one know where I can buy a new Nvidia Geforce GO 6800 Ultra, 256mb, 16 bit PCI Express card?

Does it come with its own, new, cooling fan?

Ebay is my last resort. I would prefer a new one.

Thank you for your time, Jon

I am so frustrated. Finding someone who sells laptop video cards to private individuals is like looking for a needle in a pin box.

Why build and offer upgradeable laptops if the cards are not readily availible to the public?

    Ugh!!!

Gimmicks, and unfortunately you fell for it. It's MXM Compatiable, yes, but it doesn't mean there will be anything that will be produced, the costs are too high.
