This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I wonder if the stagnation of graphical advancement due to consolitus is really an advantage or not. We think that due to it, that our laptops are able to last longer but if graphics were advancing then perhaps the laptop GPU manufacturers would have been forced to develop newer or better technology just to survive as a business. Maybe we would already be on 22nm and desktop level performance in a laptop instead of what we have now.

    I am not complaining though, what our laptops can do now is simply amasing and I feel truly blessed and appreciative of what I have (in my sig).
