I know there's no def answer atm, so don't worry about replying. I'm just creating this to have it in place lolz.

Planning on purchasing gaming lappy soon. Still debating who to throw my $1G+ at: Acer, Asus, HP, or MSI. Either way, I'd be getting at least a 450M up to 620M, or the next iteration of the 620M.

What say you, reader, regarding best bang for buck CPU to play SC2 on high/ultra? 30fps minimum.

    Thanks

Id get a quad core cpu if you want max performance.

As a RTS game there is a lot of CPU overhead. You may get away just fine in most situations with a good dual core cpu. However if you hit the limit due to that situation that has too much happening you may see some very bad performance drop.

How hard/easy it is to get to that limit? I have no idea I have not had much of a problem but I have a 720QM and Q6600 quad with a 5870 in both my computers.

The question is best reserved for after the games release since so far we have only had "beta" and while the beta may seem final we have no idea if thats a real indication of how the final product will perform. For now its best to consult the minimum/recommended specs released directly for Blizzard for the game.

Thanks bud, as always. Seems like (base) model E14 450M+4gb should be fine then, if we're going by blizzard's min specs.
