I like Most Wanted better than Carbon. With Carbon you can race only at night; it gets old.
My favorite strategy game? AOEIII

 

I started playing WarCraft III (The Frozen Throne) again. It's a really fun RTS.

My thoughts:

2k7 is significantly better than Live.

NFS series has gotten stale. NFS underground was the last one I liked

Splinter Cell and Hitman are hard to compare. I'd probably go with Hitman.

 

You cannot compare Splinter Cell and Hitman. These are totally different genres I think. I like them both. My favourite is still Hitman Contracts from the Hitman series. I didn't like Blood Money, it didn't had that beautiful ambience of Contracts.

I also like Splinter Cell a lot. One of my favourite series of games.

Strategy: Supreme Commander

 

I can't help but be wary about Supreme Commander (even though I should have it in my hands in the next few days).

I don't know if I'm naturally a moron or if the demo was missing some seriously important things. I couldn't set specific groups, couldn't attack run, the patrol path couldn't be eliminated and then re-done so you ended up with a huge mess of points, and first tier defenses absolutely rocked first tier units even when seriously outnumbered forcing late game tech if you are even moderately competent.

I think it will be good but especially a lack of attack run is a serious oversight if it really isn't in the game. I think one thing which ruined AoE for me was no attack run so you couldn't just set your army to go and then work on your base which seriously killed my ability to multi task.

 

Yea you really can't compare Splinter Cell and the Hitman Series at all. They're completely different styles of game. I really like both series a lot, though I didn't like Double Agent all too much due to technical problems, and overall, it felt a little lacking compared to its predecessors.

 

I firmly believe NBA 2K7 is alot better than live. Atleast this year...
I heard that 2k7 has alot more modes than live such as 247,street and tournament mode.

 

Of the NFS games, I like Carbon, solely for the fact that I can take a tuner-only route - and the initial D style boss races are cool too.

 

nba live 07 - graphics are amazing, Dynasty mode is awesome. 2k7 does have more playability but graphics aren't as nice.
NFS Carbon - Although I beat it in about a week its still fun to play

2. I prefer Most Wanted myself. It all depends on whether or not you like a night time drifty type of feel (NFS: U2 style), or a more solid bright feel. I wouldn't worry too much about that customization system in Carbon. It's not one of those things that make a game.

3. Everyone else is right, you can't choose between the two. If I were you, I'd just get both, as they are both fun in their unique rights. In Hitman, you actually try and assasinate your target while trying to not arouse susicion, though in Splinter Cell, you just try and not get seen. Get both, you'll like em all.

4. Again, not too easy to compare. FIFA is more focused on actually PLAYING soccer, while football manage buts you in CHARGE of a soccer team, which means a lot of money and hiring and sacking, but no real soccer playing. Get them both...

Look mate, the best way to like a game is to try it. Cross your fingers, clsoe your eyes and pick up a title that you've heard of (and not heard to be BAD) and most likely, you'll enjoy it heaps.

Yes, this is an excellent way to see if you like something, I do it all the time.

I can say for RTS, right now for me it is Company of Heroes, hands down. It is one of the funnest games I have played in recent times.
