You will have to test and try. Although notebook or even card models are the same they are each unique and require different drivers.
Check out www.laptopvideo2go.com and check out the forums where the newest drivers are posted. -
If you are having shutter problems trying different drivers wont do anything. Trust me been there done that. Bu if you just want to make the game run smoother go ahead and play with drivers but again for me updating my drivers did not do a dang thing.

I used 167.63. The game still ran like crap at times. It was a really, really bad port and I regret ever spending money on it. Couldn't even beat it because it would not stop crashing at a certain point.

I tried four different drivers trying to get Gears of War to work properly and was never successful. The game is just poorly optimized. I've hear of people with super high end cards and massive cpus having stuttering problems too.
-
Was this on Vista or XP? My copy was just sent for PC! I heard it ran okay too! Now I have my doubts!
-
This was on Vista. Don't know why it did it on mine, even after a reinstall. My friend with an XPS and an 8400 was able to complete it, but this one part just kept crashing for me. Ran pretty bad on both our PCs though.
I'm definatley not buying GoW2 for PC though. -
So any recommended drivers that you can tell me that are stable and run every game?
-
The one I mentioned has been good for every game I played so far.

i ran GoW on windows xp and it ran really well for me.
i forget which drivers i was using, but just whatever the latest whql was on laptopvideo2go.
i'd just go for the current latest whql - 177.70 -
Should i get this: v177.72 Vista 32bit
I think its the latest one? -
Leave the drivers, the PC port is so ridiculous that the save games delete themselves automatically after playing for a certain hours. This is a known bug and the only patch for GoW can't rectify it.
-
Isn't that something relating to not fully registering on Games For Windows?
-
ok.. but still i want to update my drivers so it can play this and all the new games..
Should i get this: v177.72 Vista 32bit
I think its the latest one? -
No actually it is quite random and has no links with registration process. The first time I played, I completed the game straight. A few weeks later, after completing Acts 1 and 2, Act 3 wouldn't start and the game said no save games exist. They were infact ,believe it or not, deleted.
-
I've had this happen multiple times... but they came back after I restarted the game.... it was a little random.
-
Actually 177.66 is great for Gears of War, I have 8800m GTX SLI and all stuttering I had with other drivers suddenly dissapeared when I installed these drivers.
-
God damn shoddy ports!
I was looking forward to playing it nicely on high, and making maps when I got acquainted with UE3 Editor!
-
Gears of War is a short game. you should just do a quick one day marathon and call it a day

Are the extra chapters with the brumak not long? :/ I wonder if the MP community is active, and hopefully not plagued with hackers.
