    Hey,

I am a big fan of RTS games like Age of empires. DO you know of any others that are similair to AOE that I may like to play?

Company of Heroes. Best modern RTS in my opinion.

Yea, CoH is the best RTS I have played. Had a nice original feel to it IMHO.

Some 'non-modern' RTS similar (somehow) to age of empires:
    Warcraft III, is medieval fantasy.
Command and conquer III, it's futuristic sci-fi.
    StarCraft, a big classic.

Who cares if it's modern or not?

Gameplay-wise, Dawn of War could be considered non-modern. It has a big emphasis on melee combat rather than gunfights. It does take place in the far future, but with a lot of medieval/fantasy elements in the universe. (It also has most of the typical fantasy races, orcs, elves and undead (even if they're called orks, eldar and necrons there, they're basically the same thing)

Beside Company of Heroes, which is the best RTS released in latest 2-3 years, you can check out Age of Mythology (Microsoft Games Studio), and it's expansion The Titans. It is maybe a bit old, though (released in 2003/2004), but still has good graphics, and what is the most imporant you are looking for, superior gameplay, with heroes, gods, myth creatures and battles (like Troy). It is the same as AoE is, just in fantastical and myth environment.
