    Which configuration is better in order to play to the videogames as Half life 2,Rome tolal war,Lord of Ring:Battle for Middle Earth,....?

    Notebook 1: Pentium 4 3.4 Ghz,Ati Mobility Radeon X600 256MB, RAM 512MB

    Notebook 2: Sempron 3000+(socket 754),Ati Mobility Radeon X700 128MB,
    RAM 512MB

    Help me pls!

    The latest games rely so much more on the graphics card, so I'd choose the ATI X700. But, if you can get a better CPU than the Sempron, you'll have a much better overall notebook, too.

    I agree with Jack the better video card will affect your gaming experience a lot more, but if you could find a better CPU you will get even better performance, but will sacrafice mobility. So I wouldn't really worry about a different processor so much, because then you'll be eating up battery power to just surf the web and type when your faster video card and processor wont matter. Since if your purpose was 100% games I would say save all the extra money and build yourself a nice desktop.
