Use most recent ones unless you have specific problem with specific game.
Drivers improve general performance to a certain degree for a while after the launch of a GPU, after that drivers are more or less optimized and updates are to solve problems with specific games and introduce optimizations for new games.
Anyway- there is no such thing as the best driver. It's a continuous process that's never gonna stop so you can either ignore driver updates at all (if you play one or two games that run with no problems) or update regularly if you often buy new games.
I tend to update every month unless there is sth that stops me from it (i.e. overclocking tools don't work or driver causes some problems) -
You can try the recent beta Catalyst 10.3. they are the first catalyst for laptops.
