I've had a few games laying around that I haven't gotten to play yet, but I'll have lots of time when my fiance goes back to japan for a bit, which one (or two, sometimes I like to switch between two) should it be next?

    FarCry 2
    Crysis
    F.E.A.R. 2
    Dead Space
    COD World at War
    Eve Online (14 day trial)

I voted for FC2 and COD:WAW. But, if you've just gotten off playing COD4, then COD:WAW won't really be that fun (more of the same, but slightly worse).

I'll play Fear 2 and Dead Space when no one's around, coz both games have creepy atmosphere and should be played in dark rooms with extremely loud speakers..lol :p :p :p

I heard so much negativity about COD:WAW that I didn't purchase it, however it came for free with my desktop GPU I ordered a month ago, so I played it a few weeks ago. Not having played COD4 in many months, COD:WAW wasn't that bad. It's a decent game, it just doesn't offer more than COD4 nor is it quite as polished.

I voted deadspace to give you your horror fix and crysis to satisfy your FPS needs.

Out of those games, the only ones I've played are Crysis and CoD5. I liked Call of Duty better, so I voted that.

It's a decent game compared to other FPSs, but compared to CoD4, it was pretty "meh".

Which game did you recently finish? Usually when I complete a game I will start up a new one of a different genre to break the monotony.

And, ftr, EVE Online isn't the type of game you can just pick up and play. It's one of the most demanding MMOs out there and has a rather steep learning curve. 14 days will give you an ever so light taste of the game but that is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg.

Oops, only voted for one, so add one to Far Cry. Play Far Cry, when it gets a little monotonous, switch to Dead Space. Dead Space is good enough that you could play it in a single go. Heck, I more or less played it through twice because my computer crashed and took my save files with it after going through ~80% of the game, but the second time was just as good as the first.

sorry, -1 on far cry 2 (selected by mistake) and +1 on fear 2.
dead space - i highly recommend. unique in many ways imho. only played a little more than the 1st chapter and already love it.
cyrsis - i've bought it but not yet installed/played.

EVE is a very nice game... it's truly great stuff. Thing is, the new player experience is atrocious and downright pathetic. If you wade through it though...

Farcry 2 is ok, if you like walking around in the desert for ages before being able to kill anyone. COD5 is ok in it's own right, but if you'd played COD4 then I'd probably give COD5 a miss. Deadspace is good fun, as has been said before, play on your own, in a dark room with the speakers on loud.

Crysis as a game is ok. Worth playing through, yes, worth playing again, not really. I mean you can use different tactics, but it gets very samey.

As has been said before, EVE online is not something you can pick up and put down, so given your time frame I'd probably give that a miss.

So my votes are Deadspace & Crysis.

Having played both id still go with CoD4 to be honest, didnt like WaW that much.

    Now for the op's question,

Far cry if you enjoy the whole concept of the game. Missions get rather boring sometimes since theres not a big variety, but the whole scenery is amazing, i actually spent as much time moving around taking screenshots as i did playing the missions lol :p

If you are not that into the whole scenery thing, id go for Crysis or Deadspace depending on your mood. Since Deadspace will scare you every now and then (always keep an extra set of diapers around) and Crysis is a more like action game, strategish (changing powers) kind of game :)

Yeah, but with an 8400GS, the settings aren't going to be on full, so the scenery in FarCry 2 wont be any where near as good as with your M17 Coolmine.

I need to update my sig, I now have a sager NP5793 with a 9800 in it :p it's got plenty of umph trust me.

Yeah I know eve is kind of something you have to get into, I've been dabling with it for the past couple days...I might get into it once it's just me and the cat until christmas.

But right now it's looking like crysis or deadspace, leaning more toward dead space. I've got a week until she goes, and I'm taking a gaming solstice until then, need to spend as much time with her until then XD. Thanks all for the suggestions!

I may have to try deadspace. I'm downloading the FEAR 2 demo again, I've been craving something scary. It ran ok on my old HP, the Sager should slaughter it.

I would pass on Far Cry 2, I got bored of it very quick. Pretty game and lots of guns, but the AI is bad, and it's just bland and repetitive. I want to try Far Cry 1 one though, I heard that's actually good!

Crysis and Warhead are both fun, good games, and they stress your hardware like no other.

I like CoD WaW. The campaign is good, and MP is good. I like it more than CoD2, the only other one I've played through, the series has come a long way. I didn't play through CoD4, so I'm an odd one out, but I really enjoyed WaW.

Far Cry 1 was great! That's why I figured the second one might be worth it too :p but it seems to have pretty poor reviews :-/ hmmm, I'll just get to it later than. Thanks!

Yeah I hear that, I have been on a sci-fi/space kick for a while. Been playing sins of a solar empire like a mad man. I think I'll play even until the trial runs out (to see if I want to get into it) and take a shot at dead space then.
