The last thing someone wants to do is spend money on something that sucks. Going along with that, I am wondering if anyone knows of any major titles or at least games that have decent graphics/gameplay that offer free trials?

The only games I know of are Lord of the Rings Online and WoW. I tried to lotro, but it was too much like WoW, but with less player interaction. I already own WoW.

Anyone know of any free trials?

Almost all of the MMORPGs have free trials... that's how they get ya. The first fix is free, but you gotta pay if you want another.

Pretty much all games offer demos. Just check out gaming websites to download them. Gaming mags also come with DVD's filled with demos. Plenty of choice there.

BTW, Call of Duty 4 and the Orange Box are great games. The Orange Box is a good deal. $50 for 5 games. That only $10 per game. Can't go wrong.

World in Conflict comes with a free trial that you can give to somebody to try out.
