Well, I'm looking for a Gaming Laptop that would be smaller and more portable than mine XPS. Not sure which card I would go for? It's going to be a 15.4-6" Laptop! Not sure what Brand anyone can suggest or give me a lead for one? Thanks!
P.S
Price range = $2K-$2500.00
ATI or Nvidia = GTX260M vs 4850 only!

Pretty close fight, honestly. 4850 wins Vantage, and perhaps fallout 3 and stalker (Ati does better here), 260M wins everthing else.
Send this to the GPU thread -> -
Yeap if your after a 15" notebook the sager NP8662 is your best bet, it is the most powerful 15.4" notebook around and comes with the GTX260m for the amount of money you have to spend you could get a real nice machine and have some change......the sager in my sig cost less than $1700, check out XoticPC they have great prices and there service is fantastic...
Goodluck
p/s i dont think there is a 15" notebook that currently has the HD4850 GPU in it....so basically the GTX260m is your best bet.... -
Wow! Thanks for the site! Do you know if the NP8662 support Xtreme Quad Processors? If not no biggie! Just wondering?
-
It supports the Q9000, and to some extent the Q9100 and QX9300. But you will need to undervolt and you'll be limted to airconditioned indoors to run the QX9300 smoothly. Overclocking isn't possible.

i agree with anothergeek you would have to undervolt the QX9300 as heat would be a issue.....look at this topic to see some gaming results using the Sager Np8662 and the Q9000 CPU....

i personally decided to go with the C2D P9700 @2.8ghz as power supply is a issue where i live and the 25watt CPU the P series offers suits me perfectly.
anyway if 15" is what your after this machine will suit you down to the ground -
I personally root for the 4850, its a really good card in my oppinion, but then again the GTX 260 is about the equivalent so they are both great cards!
Ati handle AA a bit easier i believe then Nvidia also but its not really needed if you are playing at native in some cases.
Careful with the np8662 though, there have been minor reports of HDD heating up rather rapidly but there are ways to tone that down a bit.
Other then that, you wont find a better 15" gamer.
Which is Better GTX260M or ATI's M4850?
