    Which is better ATI Radeon 1150 or Intel 950 GMA for playing Half Life 2?

    Also how does the ATI Radeon 1150 compare against the Intel X3100?

    The 950 is pretty much the lowest end integrated graphics, only ahead of the GMA900 :p

    The x3100 isn't bad for an integrated solutions, Intel did an awesome job on that. Compared to the 1150, I'd rank the x3100 a bit higher since its newer technology.

    HL2 I don't know real world, don't have game but MFG recommends ATI 7200 or better. I did a game scan on my system and it said yes, I have 1150.

    X1100, incomparably. Will destroy the 950 in Half Life 2 and in fact, any other gaming application.

    X3100>X1150>GMA950

    I think the X3100 gets around 900 in 3dmark05, whilst the X1150 gets around 600-700 and the GMA950 about 450.

    Best integrated solution right now is the ATI X1250/70 which gets as much as 1300 in 3dmark05.

    the 1150 is a HOLE lot better than the GMA 950. Avoid Intel graphics at all costs, they are mainly for battery power. Go with Nvidea, or ATi, whenever it is possible.

    The only reason I am not closing this thread is because of the X3100 vs. X1150. I'm not sure which of the two is better although if I had to choose between them I'd get the ATI card. It has better compatibility with games as far as I know.

    X3100 beats the 1150 hands down. Some question X3100 vs. 1250? I go 1250!

    Are you basing that on 3DMark comparisons or real-life gaming benchmarks? I'm looking for a way to integrated the X3100 into the GPU Guide.
