My friend is about to purchase a vostro 1500 and he wants to know what screen will be best for gaming with the Nvida 8600 gt,
Glossy, widescreen 15.4 inch display (1280x800)
    Anti-glare, widescreen 15.4 inch display (1280x800)
High Resolution, glossy widescreen 15.4 inch display (1680x1050)
High Resolution, glossy widescreen 15.4 inch display (1440x900)

The higher the resolution the more the graphics card has to work which could result in lower game settings.

So Personally I would choose 1440 x 900 as it is a nice balance between the two.

If he want's to run next-gen games (Crysis, etc) at native resolution, he'll want the WXGA resolution. If he doesn't care about running at native, or doesn't mind turning settings down, get the WXGA+, as it's a nice compromise between high res and low res.
