Hey I am building a media PC and got an Nvidia 7200 GS but I need a DVI cable to connect to my flatscreen TV. I have realized that there are loads of different DVI types such as female/male and digital and analog. Would guys please be kind enough to tell me what kind of DVI cable I need?

    Thanks

It supports both analog and digital connections ( DVI-D and DVI-I).

Basically, you just need a DVI-D cable, something like this.

Get DVI to HDMI tho it is probably what you are looking for.

Nah, HDMI cables are expensive and the 7200 GS doesn't have HDMI anyway.

    Thanks ScifiMike.

    I found this one: VALUE DVI Kabel M - M, Dual-Link 2m

It's Dual Link Male to Male, though it's not mentioned if it's DVI-D or DVI-I.

Dual-linked only matters if you are running something higher than 1920x1200 resolution or with 75Hz or higher with 1920x1200.

But should this work? The link you gave me also appears to be dual-link.

    Yup, it will work.

And yes, that cable I linked is dual-linked. Most are. It seems that the HDMI to DVI cords are mainly single-linked since it's a tad bit cheaper to make and theres no IQ difference between the two.

    Enjoy.
