Just got FarCry. First game I bought in years. I think the last one was the first Medal of Honor.
-
ooo..haha..any1 else have an opinion of which 1 2 get?? -
i bought rome total war a while ago, that game rocks, FarCry is overrated. Fable is overrated too, just get Elder Scrolls Morrowind, thats much better. Indigo Prophecy is awesome just bought it, trust me its not like any game you have played before, very unique and fun.

But I also think FarCry is overrated (though the demo entertained me) and the F.E.A.R. demo didn't do anything for me.
The last PC game I actually gave a legitimate crap about was Unreal Tournament 2004. (That's a lie, it's Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude, but I can't figure out why I kept playing that awful, awful game.)
But then, most games in general lately have really disappointed me with how formulaic they are and how their excuse for "challenge" is just cheap AI. I've been playing a lot of Contra and Gradius, and rhythm games. I'm looking immensely forward to the Nintendo Revolution. -
Fable is much better than Morrowind. Better combat system, better graphics and gameplay. Fable is also much more to-the-point, there aren't hundreds of distractions which keep you hours away from your main objectives. It also has a teleport system, which lessens running time. I have no idea what Indigo Prophecy is, but I am certain you won't be disappointed with Fable.

I liked FarCry, but I wouldn't say it is the best game I played.
-
kk...thanks for all your opinions!!!...but it's still tied..i mite get it this weekend or next weekend instead..so it needs to be more than like 2 or 3 more than the other option for me to consider it...and i was going to get elder scrolls IV: oblivion a little bit after it comes out if i don't finish fable or indigo prophecy by then
-
I've never heard of either game. Are they new or am I just out of touch when it come to non-FPS games?

Yeah...I'm not too familiar with those two games...
Far Cry is a great game...beautiful graphics and some of the best AI I have ever seen.
Hey zazonz, if you thought FC was a good game, you should get yourself Half Life 2 - that's awesome!!! -
yea...they are fairly new...i think Indigo Prophecy came out sometime last week...there's a demo available if u guys wanna try it to see what it's like...but fable cam out i think 2 or 3 days ago..and it looks AMAZING with all the trailers and gameplay footage that's shown on www.ign.com for fable:the lost chapters for the PC
btw..i've played HL-2..and beat it...that was an AMAZING game as well!!!!!! -
played both of them, and i like Fahrenheit better. However, Fahrenheit is best to be played with ps2 controller. Fable plays just fine with kb+mouse. Fable is capped to 30fps on my 9300 with every settings on max, and Fahrenheit is 60fps most of the time with everything max and 2xfsaa. Just make sure you are able to get the european version of Fahrenheit because the us version is censored.
-
ooo...kk..thanks
BTW...where would i get the european version of Fahrenheit??..i know where to get indigo prophecy...the US version..but idk where to get the european version...?? -
Fable all the way and Battlefield 2
-
-
what???...go to this site http://pc.ign.com/objects/016/016145.html
-
i thought the us release would be in this week. anyway, i am not able to choose any resolution higher than 1024x768 in the game so everything looks fat.
-
oooo...i wouldn't want that then..thanks for letting me know!!
-
kk every1...i got Fable: The Lost Chapters...and man...this game is AMAZING!!!!!
-
post back here in a couple of days and tell us what you think THEN. lol.
if it's good, I'll buy a copy=) -
I'D have second battlefield 2 top game also think lord of the rings is worth looking at
-
ehh...i play MOH online..pretty fun game...and i have lord of the rings as well..also a cool game...and UnDefiler..this game is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...like i said...i would suggest getting it..i seriously would....to anyone really -
God I hated Morrowind. How did my friend put it.....oh yea "5,000 @$$holes to find for or about a quest and they are all out in the middle of nowhere." I tried playing it, won a free copy from gamespy.com and it was horrible, couldn't find half the areas I was supposed to go to complete a quest and spent way too many hours just running around killing things. Fable was fun on the XBox so the Lost Chapters for the PC should be just as fun, I saw a review of Indigo Prophecy on X-Play and it looked interesting, but I probably won't buy it.
-
if u have the right system, i highly reccommend F.E.A.R. you cannot go wrong with that one.

The best games I play are Star Wars Battlefront, BF2 (sometimes), Counter Strike Source, and Far Cry.
I'm pretty good at CS:S so if anybody wants to play online with me let me know! -
Half-Life 2 is just so well done, i played that and beat it in 3 days because i got so hooked, it isn't short at all i just played it like crazy, and HL2 is forever evolving, new MODS etc. are constantly becoming available.
I must say though one of my favourite non PC games of the year has been Lumines. that is just such a fun addicting game, you don't really get tired of playing. you just have to be able to stop yourself.
Which of these 2 games would u recommend...
