I am going to pick up a Dell Inspiron E1505 Core Duo Proc (T2400 or 2050) with 1 GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz, 2 Dimm & a 15.4 inch Wide Screen XGA Display with Truelife (MAYBE a Wide Screen SXGA+ Display with TrueLife).

I intend to throw in the best display card for this system as well. These are my options -

    128MB ATI MOBILITY™ RADEON® X1300 HyperMemory

    256MB ATI MOBILITY™ RADEON® X1400 HyperMemory

    256MB NVIDIA® GeForce™Go 7300 TurboCache

Which of these should I go for????

Cheers & thanks in advance for any help fellas,
    WD.

The ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 is the best one, check the posts that LFC linked to above.

I know that when customizing the e1505, they make you pay more for the Geforce Go 7300 (50$ or so), but the ATI X1400 is better, trust the knowledgeable people here at notebookreview.com

Best in terms of what? Lowest heat output? Lowest power consumption? Best performance?

Performance. Faster cards generate more heat and consume more power, as a general rule, but both the X1300/7300 and the X1400 are rather low-end cards so I wouldn't worry too much about either heat, noise, or power.

    for performance:
    1: X1400
    2: X1300
    3: go7300

It's not easy to compare the power consumtion. The heat won't be a problem for all these 3 cards.

PC Pulsar got it on the nose. Nvidias low end cards are pretty weak comparede to ATI's.
